sustainability in promotional products

Nearly 1/5 of consumers age 24 and younger count sustainability as a leading factor in their decision to keep a promotional product.

“Demand increased significantly in the past year or two—thanks, mostly, to increased visibility of the threat plastic waste poses for our planet,” Liz Haesler, Global Chief Merchandising Officer

Creative Resources is proud to carry The EcoSmart line, launched in 2019, whose bags feature some exterior fabrics made from 100% recycled water bottles, and eco-friendly substitutes for items that are normally thrown away after one use, such as plastic silverware, straws and grocery bags.

The product line also gives back: 1% of all EcoSmart sales are donated to 1% for the Planet. When deciding which types of promotional items to choose, ask yourself: What are the products made of? Would I personally use this? How long would I keep it?

Often, less is more, and choosing a slightly higher value product that will be kept is a better option than most other giveaways that would be quickly discarded.

Most popular eco-friendly swag includes:

  • Notebooks
  • Apparel, especially t-shirts
  • Reusable straws
  • Reusable drinkware
  • Shopping bags/totes
